Christmas 2006

Christmas day. A day of giving and receiving. You should have seen the pile of presents I got! Books, clothes, toys, chocolate, DVDs, CDs, a kite! My fingers are still sore from tearing all of that wrapping paper off. Christmas day was fun and was not spoilt. I am though :)

Rotto Weekender

Rottnest Island - Click to see satellite photo

It's called Rottnest because it's inhabited by furry creatures called quokkas. When the island was first discovered by white men in 1696 (Willem de Vlamingh) they thought that the quokkas were big rats and so they called it Rottnest (rat nest) island.


They look cuter in this photo than they actually are. They pooh everywhere and sneak in to steal your food! They're good fun though.


Ready for some snorkling, swimming, sausage sizzling, quokka chasing fun!

Introducing... Cat Girl!

As you know it was my birthday 4 (ish) days ago. Amongst the many presents I received was this little darling... Cat Girl. She's a cat of my very own. She likes to sleep near me and purr in my ear all night long. She's cataceaous!

Cat Girl met P-Ted too. At first they were not sure about each other but now they're the best of friends. Here's a photo of them meeting for the first time.

Starberry went on a trip to Asia recently. I couldn't go because I had to go to school :( , but he took some photos of some of the places that he went (This one was at Singapore airport).

just Words

Well i've made a few posts now and most of them are pictures with a few words that try and explain what is going on. Hmm... someone said that my blog is 'festive'. Well, yeah! It's not like i'm going to post a pic of me doing "time out" in the laundry. Who thought of that one anyway? Some sort of fascist parenting expert? Anyway, i learnt to ride a bike the other day. i rode around the carpark two or three times, avoided a speeding four wheel drive carrying two dogs, and didn't fall off once! i continue to astound and amaze! i'll post some pictures of this awesome achievement some time soon.

Birthday flashback

When you said that you'd buy me a dog for my birthday last year I had assumed that you meant a dog that pooped! (My birthday is 29th Oct. by the way, so start thinking about presents :)

I went to the moon

I went to the moon to buy a new spoon,
But as it turned out, there just wasn't room!

The man in the suit cried, "don't breathe the air!"
I said, "it's OK, rats go where they care."

I started to dig, I was looking for cheese,
I dug and I dug, all the way to my knees.

All that I found was dust, sand, and dirt,
I dug for so long that my arms start to hurt.

I was getting so mad, and my face just got redder,
Next time I might visit the shops for my cheddar.

My day went like this...

• I woke up
• I woke everyone else up
  
• I drank a big glass o' milk
  
• I ate scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast
  
• I spent some time on the 'puter - makin' movies
• I spent some more time on the 'puter - this time on ABC for kids
  
• I had lunch on the balcony. I ate chicken kebabs, bean salad and steamed potatoes (with butter!) while wearing rock star sunnies
• I jumped into the car and got chauffeured to Dad's

And the weather was fantastic. It's the middle of winter in Perth, Australia. 20 degreesº C and sunny. I love this place!
